Our organization recognizes that communication plays a pivotal role in advancing health and well-being, and we have a strong communications team and technical expertise in public health to support this.
We are a team of passionate public health experts, doctors, and communication specialists who believe that creating a healthy society requires more than just medical interventions. We believe in the power of communication, social and behavior change communications (SBCC), and advocacy to drive social change and improve health outcomes.
Our expertise lies in designing and implementing customized communication strategies that address the specific needs of our clients and the communities they serve. We understand the nuances of health communication and have hands-on experience in implementing and designing communication strategies for various projects, including maternal and child health, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, and water and sanitation, etc.
Our overarching objective is to make individuals aware, educated and informed about the benefits of good health practices, and to facilitate behavioral changes as well as a health-seeking mindset. We work in collaboration and convergence with all stakeholders in public health to develop customized communication collaterals to drive noticeable behavior change. Our work includes designing and implementing communication campaigns, developing multimedia products, conducting capacity-building workshops on communications.
We offer a wide range of health communication services that cater to the needs of our clients. Our services include:
Communications Strategy: We provide a 360-degree coverage on various communication mediums to reach your target audience effectively.
Capacity Building: We conduct workshops, seminars, webinars, and other knowledge-sharing activities on SBCC, media ethics, and advocacy initiatives to build the capacity of our clients and their stakeholders.
Advocacy Campaigns: We design and implement advocacy campaigns to create awareness, educate, and inform the masses on specific health issues.
Multimedia Product Development: We provide end-to-end development of visual and textual products that help communicate health messages effectively.
Media engagement workshops: Capacity building of media professionals and journalists on development issues to promote beat journalism on social issues such as public health. We believe that media can play an important role in accelerating the progress towards the achievement of social and development goals. Journalists with specialized knowledge on social issues can uncover stories that don’t get much attention, and report with accuracy and nuance.
Co-organized by We Photo and the Foundation for People-centric Health Systems (FPHS) in collaboration with PATH, this workshop brought together a diverse group of over 30 participants, including public health experts, communication and media professionals, film makers, photographers, and public health students. The goal of the workshop was to explore the intersection of visual communication and public health and discuss how visual storytelling can drive change and raise awareness about health issues.
This initiative represents our first step towards creating a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and mentored photography and film projects development to tell compelling stories and provide a voice to communities in telling their own stories.
Our first series, focused on public health, aims to visually capture the commercial and social determinants of health (CSDH) and their impact on the health of individuals, communities, and populations. CSDH has long been overlooked, and we hope to use social- impact photography to help reframe the way we relate to public health and its underlying determinants.
Through this initiative, going forward we seek to ‘show and tell’ complex ideas and provide clarity on the social determinants of health.
We want to create a new narrative around these issues and encourage emerging talent to embrace visual storytelling with a social impact lens. We believe that this initiative is a significant step towards making a real impact on public health.
Our collaboration with We Photo has won the prestigious Lancet Photography Competition 2022
– Sharpening the focus on health stories. This is the second time in a row that we have been featured by The Lancet- World’s leading medical journal.
